The new Milagros Series is based on the Hispanic traditional milagros- usually small silver charms- that are typically attached to religious candles, statuary, and other items of devotion as an extra prayer. They can also be worn for extra blessings, or protection. I had a variety of these charms growing up, and I have always loved that there were so many different depictions of hearts, crosses, houses, and even arms, legs, and eyes. In this series, I hope to recreate the Hispanic symbology that surrounded my childhood and is still prevalent not only for me, but for many across this city.

This pattern is crafted by using the mosaic overlay crochet method. Any size hook and any yarn can be used, and yardage is dependent on what sized project you wish to create.
