Crochet this chunky and warm poncho with decorative twist cable design and cosy hood. Perfect for chilly days or nights.

Written in US terms with a conversion chart included for UK terms. Photographs have been used throughout to help with clear instructions. A printer friendly version will also be included.
I have also included a visual crochet chart for the cable braid section of the pattern to help.

This pattern can make any size or length poncho by just increasing rounds until you reach the desired fit.

The pictured size (S/M) took just under 11 balls of 100g Super Bulky/UK Super Chunky (Yarn Weight #6) yarn, approx. total of 962.5yds, for a waist length poncho.

You may use any type of yarn you prefer, I have used Acrylic yarn.

You will need:
Super Bulky (UK Super Chunky) yarn in any colour you choose
(1100g + depending on size and length - 100g=80m/87.5yds)
12mm crochet hook or size needed to achieve correct gauge
Large eyed yarn needle
Scissors
