To commemorate a milestone birth year I knit this temperature blanket. Inspired by a friend’s project. I chose a lap throw with one square per month. This choice kept the blanket to a manageable size. Each square is about 12’ x 12”. This is an easy project for an experienced knitter.

My parameters:
Lanas Light (100% wool, 383 yds, sport weight, light and warm)
1 skein of each color. (10 colors)
One square/month. 12” x 12”. Finished blanket 3’ x 4’.
Squares knit from the outside in towards the center.
Following daily high temperatures according to the Accuweather App for my location that day.
One color for every ten degrees.
#4 needles. 24” circ transitioning to a 40” circ for magic loop at the center of the squares,
Gauge: 23 stitches and 48 rows per 4” in garter stitch (knit 1 round, purl 1 round)
