Hobbii Yarn sent me Toucan Fine yarn to try – it is a thinner plush yarn. I’ve designed this Mallard Duck with the yarn and it has worked up beautifully.

This pattern is an easy design to make and uses US terminology. A knowledge of how to crochet is essential as it does not teach you how to crochet, it simply provides instructions for you to make the toy.

You will need:

• 3.50mm hook/E (US)
• 10ply yarn (Worsted / Aran) > less than 50g per colour
• WHITE DK yarn
• A pair of 10mm safety eyes
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester toy stuffing
• Stitch marker (optional)

o GREEN = colour 29 Forest Green
o BROWN = colour 30 Cappuccino
o WHITE = colour 01 White
