Milk jug cover
Pattern gives charts for both English and Welsh versions of the jug cover.
Finished size: approx 6½-inches/16.5 cm square
Materials required: 0.60 mm crochet hook, 5 g ball of No 80 crochet cotton or No 70 tatting thread, 34 large glass beads (8 mm – 10 mm) for edging or 34 medium glass beads (6 mm), plus 136 glass beads (3 mm).
Note: glass beads are traditionally used for jug covers, as these have more weight than plastic beads, glass beads are also washable. The beads may require washing before using as sometimes they can leave marks on the thread if they are dirty. Hand wash only as the glass beads may shatter if placed in a washing machine.
