Milkweed Socks
These women’s socks are knit from the top (cuff ) down. They feature a pretty lace pattern on the leg, which extends onto the top of the foot. They have a heel flap and a wide toe.
The pattern is written for 2 short circular needles, but may be easily adatped to Magic Loop or DPN methods of sock knitting.
Note that the pattern is presented in chart form only.
These socks were inspired by a popular facial beauty cream (Ingram’s Milkweed cream) in the 1930s with “beauty in every jar”.
