Welcome to Milky Way Jumper.

Upfront : you can make the Milky Way Jumper striped as mine, or you can also knit this jumper just in star pattern. Both ways are included in this pattern. There is more explanation for the striped version, since it needs more instructions.

The Jumper is knitted bottom up in rounds. You change the yarn type and colour whilst knitting up, which will give you a delicate star pattern and therefor a jumper which will reminds you of Milky Way.

The sleeves are knitted flat or round, as you prefer.

All 3 pieces will be joined together on your needles at certain height. An then we work with raglan decreases to form the yoke.

This jumper has a rolled neck, which gives you an adorable look.

This jumper is quite fitted and I recommend a 3-7cm ease, but you can knit what you prefer.

Important is to obtain the gauge. Since we are using 2 different type of yarn, you need one swatch for normal stockinette and one more swatch for the star stitch. The stockinette pattern ist knitted with 2 strands or yarn (fingering + kid silk) : 19 sts x 26 rows
the star stich ist knitted on double silk mohair : 19 sts x 22 rows
I used the same 4mm needles for both swatches, but you can also use 2 different needles, if it’s easier for you to obtain the gauge.

The available sizes are for bust circumferences.

M : 101cm
L : 109cm
XL : 118cm
I would recommend a size with a 3-7cm ease.
