Milla's halter top
This halter top is inspired by the time I spent sipping mate and playing dice under the South American sun with my beautiful cousin, Milla. I originally designed a bikini version for Milla to wear to the beach with a matching bucket hat! The pattern features a bold, all-over checkered design with a supportive halter neck, form-fitting bra cups (adjustable to your size), and a wide tie back that’ll stay put throughout a day of adventures.
Construction
You’ll work the first cup and crochet halfway up its edge to create the side tie. Then you will work a row underneath this side tie and cup combo. You will then repeat this process to create the second cup and side tie. Now, you will sew the left and right halves together in the middle. Then, you will attach your yarn partly down one side tie and work back in forth in flat rows to create the front panel. Finally, you will crochet the halter straps.
Materials
Two colors (one light, one dark) of worsted-weight cotton
3.5 mm hook
