Millbrook
Millbrook is a sleeveless top worked in lightweight summer yarn. It is intended as a quick but interesting knit.
The front and back are worked identically, with a deep V-neckline and subtle waist shaping. Perforated edging details provide interest along the neckline and armholes. This detailing requires attention but is achievable for advanced beginner knitters with a sense of adventure.
The pieces are worked from the bottom up and flat to avoid skewing (to which less elastic summer yarns can be prone when worked in the round). The front and back are then seamed at the sides and shoulders.
It has a longish (mid-hip) length, but it can be shortened by adjusting the length worked before the waist shaping. The hem is left to roll for a simple look.

Yarn
It requires a summer yarn with a gauge of 22 stitches and 30-35 rows per 10 cm. We recommend something lightweight (not too dense) with at least 110 m per 50 grams if held single and 220 m per 50 grams if held double.
Some suggestions:
- Sandnes Garn Tynn Line (held double), 53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen, 220 m per 50 grams.
- Önling No 14 (held single) 100% Tencel Lyocell, 114 m per 50 grams.
- Knitting for Olive Pure Silk (held double), 100% Silk, 250 m per 50 grams.
- Rowan Summerlite DK (held single), 100% Egyptian Cotton, 130 m per 50 grams.
- Fiddlesticks Wren (held single), 100% Cotton 8 Ply, 125 m per 50 grams.
