Millefiori
This pullover was designed to be as comfortable to knit as it is to wear. The colorwork pattern on the yoke and sleeves is rhythmic and repetitive. The long expanse of simple stockinette in the body and sleeves shows off a beautifully hand-dyed yarn.
This sweater is worked in the round from the neck down without seams.
Millefiori (translation: thousand flowers) is a glassworking technique that produces densly patterned, colorful surfaces. It is usually associated with the Venetian glass-making island of Murano.
