Millie's Summer Waistcoat
Knitting with short-row shaping in one piece is great for baby styles. The smaller chest and wider hem fits babies so well because of the practical shape. The lace trims are so easy to follow and effective. There’s just enough interest in every row. Knitted from side to side,
the short-row shaping sections are left on stitch holders then
rejoined into the work to avoid sewing up. Try to use both ends of the yarn by pulling out yarn from the middle of the ball. By doing this
when the work is taken up again to continue for the body you will
not need to make an additional join or need to weave in an extra end.
