Million Dollar Scarf
This is a fun, quick knit scarf, a great gift to give. You can make it as long or short as you like. My only request is that you not sell the scarf or pattern. David would like it to remain a gift. His heart is as big as a Million Dollars, so I ask you to honor this request.
A young lad came up to me in church, looked very closely at what I was knitting & then up at me (it was a shawl). He said, ‘could you make me a scarf’???
I said I could, in fact I could teach him to knit too.
He said, ‘No thanks’; but he would appreciate a scarf. ‘How much would it cost’?
I said, ‘A million bucks’.
After rolling his eyes in contemplation, he looked at me and said, ‘Okay, I can do that’.
Now, mind you he is about 10, comes from a family of 10 children. Very talented singing kids, they travel around & perform at various places; though not nationally known. He by no means has a million, except in his heart.
So thus, the ‘Million Dollar Scarf’ was designed. Wanted it to be a little special for a very special lad who will love it to death. Did it in acrylic because I know it will get worn a lot & tossed into a major amount of laundry.
Please to make a project page & link up, I would love to show David the many scarves his request has brought forth. If you find an error or have a suggestion, I would love to hear from you, also.
Thank you so much. ;0)
