The Millrace Shawl is a long, shallow crescent that begins and ends with just 4 stitches. It uses the same undulating lace border as the Millrace Scarf, but has a deeper, longer body that is worked in garter stitch.

The shawl is knit from point to point, the border worked at the same time as the garter body. A twisted rib provides a visual transition between the two parts, and serves as a reminder for increasing and decreasing.

Finished size
14” / 35.5 cm deep at center x 76” / 193 cm long, after blocking.

Materials
Approximately 575 yds / 525 m Quince and Co Tern (221 yds / 202 m per 50g skein; 75% wool, 25% silk) in Sea Grass.
