This is the third in my series of sock patterns designed for knitting on the train. There is a bit of simple colourwork and some even simpler texture on the heel/foot, all very easy to memorize. The integrated heel attempts to emulate the look of a flap-and-gusset heel without the need to pick up stitches. Note that this heel, as written, is quite roomy and fits better on wider feet, so consider doing one fewer heel expansion repeat if you have daintier feet than mine.

Instructions are provided for sizes S (M, L), with stitch counts of 56 (64, 72). With a 4-stitch repeat, it would be possible to adapt the pattern for in-between sizes without too much trouble.

The colourwork section is charted, and the rest of the pattern is written. You may use any technique you prefer for knitting a tube in the round.
