Named after Dracula’s lovely Mina Harker, the Mina Collar is inspired by the points of bat’s wings and the gothic Victorian fashion. It is worked flat in a series of increases and decreases to create a circular shape and seven points accented with a picot bind-off. The front is fastened with a ribbon sewn on after blocking.

SIZING

This collar is one size but is highly adjustable with a ribbon closure. The inner circumference, which sits closest to the neck, measures ~20in. The length is customizable.

TOOLS

US 7 needles, either straight or circular (slick, pointy lace-tips needles work best!)

  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Two lengths of ribbon measuring 20” each, or however long you wish
  • Stitch markers optional but may be helpful to mark increases/decreases

YARN

  • Approx. 65 yards worsted weight yarn
  • Keep in mind that the gauge isn’t really that important to the final sizing as the length is completely customizable! The most important measurement is the inner circumference, which we establish while casting on.
