The Minack Hat was inspired by the Minack Theatre in Cornwall. Built into the cliffside, the outdoor theatre has tiers of seats carved from rock and inscribed with many of the performances that have taken place there and their dates. The simple slipped stitch pattern in this hat emulates the rows of seats in this magical place.
