This is a Minecraft tribute pattern originally designed for the 2014 Bleeping Sock Games. It uses multi colors (one skein of the main color and a partial skein of the alternate color) to simulate the look of the famous dirt block so many of us identify with the Minecraft computer game.

The design uses a combination of slip stitches to create textured squares throughout the pattern.

The cuff and upper calf start off in one color and then convert gradually to the main (leg and foot) color using stranded techniques. It is suggested that one either knits the stranded section inside out in order to prevent the section from drawing in or increases in needle size to accomplish the same goal.

I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern and welcome any comments you might have -- please don’t hesitate to PM me with any questions or feedback.
