This works best with two sufficiently contrasting colors of yarn. The patterns on either side of the center (with the dragon and ghast) are ‘right side up’ for the person wearing the scarf, if you want them ‘right side up’ when looking at the person wearing the scarf, you could just reverse the pattern on either side of the center part.

It’s actually 432 rows, it keeps changing to 99.99 rows, not sure how to fix that.
