Minero is a beautifully distinct cabled hat, featuring slipped stitches and diagonal cables that lend themselves to a gorgeous crown. The mixed texture of the slipped stitches and the touch of garter stitch next to the cables is crisp and bold and I love it. Minero works as a unisex accessory, sized for adults or bigger kids, and is beautiful with or without a pom. Notes are in the pattern on how and where to modify Minero for size, and the cable instructions are both charted and written.

Two samples are shown here. The pale blue one is knit in WYS The Croft Aran, in the color Huxter 397.

The deep green one is my original sample, worked in discontinued YOTH Father, in the color Olive. I’m keeping both versions on this page since I love how the hat looks on everyone here!
