Mingling Daisies Socks
Choose three colors of fingering weight yarn and fade them together for these textured socks. This pattern is knit top-down starting with the cuff, working toward the garter stitch heel flap, and finally knitting the toe. The fabric is filled with textured stitches like the daisy stitch, broken ribbing, and some criss cross cabled eyelets. You can also knit these socks with one solid color of yarn to make the stitches pop. There is always a new texture to look forward to as you knit these beautiful socks!
Sizes
1 (2, 3, 4, 5)
Finished Measurements
7 (8, 9, 10, 11)″ / 18 (20, 23, 25, 28)cm ankle and foot circumference. Measurements taken after blocking.
Size 3 shown on a size US 13 / EU 47 size foot that has a 10.5″ / 27cm foot circumference. The sock fits with 1.5″ / 4cm of negative ease.
Socks are designed to fit an actual foot circumference of 8 (9, 10, 11, 12)″ / 20 (23, 25, 28, 30)cm. The socks are designed to fit with negative ease. Choose a size with a finished foot circumference measurement that is approximately 1″ / 2.5cm smaller than your actual foot circumference, so that the sock will fit nice and snug on your foot.
The lengths of the cuff, ankle, and foot are easily customizable by knitting more textured pattern repeats for a longer ankle or foot or fewer textured pattern repeats for a shorter ankle or foot.
Yarn
Fingering weight
Yardage
Approximately 306 (350, 394, 366, 402)yds / 280 (320, 360, 400, 440)m total
The faded sample used about an equal amount of yarn for all 3 colors. I recommend having a bit more than the total recommended yardage to give yourself more freedom if you knitting a faded version with three colors.

Color Fading Note
If you are using leftover amounts of yarn, I recommend dividing your colors in half to ensure you have enough yarn of each color for an identical Right Sock and Left Sock.
Use color A on its own for the Cuff and half of the Leg. When you are about halfway finished with the Leg, start striping colors A & B for 2 rnds each until the Leg is completed.
Use color B on its own for the Heel Flap, Heel Turn, & Gusset. Stripe colors B & C for 2 rnds each during the beginning of the Foot instructions.
Use color C on its own for the final Foot & Toe rnds.
If you are knitting a one-color version, then use the same color throughout the entire sock.
