Mini Chicken Amigurumi
Make your own (nearly) no sew mini chicken! The only sewing is the little bitty comb on its head, and you’ll be done before you know it!
Difficulty: Beginner
It’s a perfect pattern for amigurumi beginners. It’s assumed you know how to work a magic ring, but only basic stitches are required (sc, dc, sl, ch, inc, and dec).
Materials
- Yarn – I used aran weight cotton, but any type of any weight will work as long as you choose an appropriately sized hook for the yarn.
- About 22 yards (~20.4 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Snow White, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”.
- About two yards (~1.8 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Hot Red, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”.
- A couple feet (~0.6 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Yellow Gold, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”. For the beak
- A couple feet (~0.6 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Tulip, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”. For the blush
- 10mm plastic safety eyes with washers (x2).
- Stuffing. I use Fairfield Poly-Fil Premium Polyester Fiberfill.
If you use these materials, the size of the finished chicken is approximately: 2.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 in or 6.35 x 8.89 x 6.35 cm.
