Make your own (nearly) no sew mini chicken! The only sewing is the little bitty comb on its head, and you’ll be done before you know it!

Difficulty: Beginner

It’s a perfect pattern for amigurumi beginners. It’s assumed you know how to work a magic ring, but only basic stitches are required (sc, dc, sl, ch, inc, and dec).

Materials

• Yarn – I used aran weight cotton, but any type of any weight will work as long as you choose an appropriately sized hook for the yarn.
  • About 22 yards (~20.4 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Snow White, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”.
  • About two yards (~1.8 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Hot Red, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”.
  • A couple feet (~0.6 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Yellow Gold, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”. For the beak
  • A couple feet (~0.6 meters) of 100% Cotton size 5 Tulip, Cahlista, by “Scheepjes”. For the blush
• 10mm plastic safety eyes with washers (x2).
• Stuffing. I use Fairfield Poly-Fil Premium Polyester Fiberfill.

If you use these materials, the size of the finished chicken is approximately: 2.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 in or 6.35 x 8.89 x 6.35 cm.
