Mini Christmas Stocking
These glorious miniature knitted stockings are the perfect Holiday project! And they are SO CUTE, you won’t be able to just knit one ;)
Quick and easy, they are knit in the round as I prefer to avoid seaming whenever humanly possible :)
I knit these using 3mm dpns and 8ply DK yarn (so using needles a size smaller than what the yarn calls for), as I prefer the tighter gauge so they can hold presents! :D
The size will change depending on needle size so it’s great to experiment. The main body consists of 14 rows so this is where you can choose to include a fairisle pattern, stripes, or let your creativity run wild!
A fun idea for these is to make twenty four, then duplicate stitch numbers or attach tags to create an advent calendar. I have used them as Christmas tree decorations and as gift holders; usually with a small treat inside such as chocolate coins, mini candy canes, or lip balms
