The mini Christmas trees make great holiday decorations. If you like to collect wine corks and enjoy repurposing items you have collected, let’s make some mini trees using wine corks as the trunks.

This pattern introduces the way to make a solid-color tree as well as the method for adding “snow” to the tree. You can also add a star to the top. A link to the FREE star crochet pattern is included in the pattern PDF.

If you don’t have wine corks, no worries -- this pattern also introduces crocheting the tree trunk with yarn.

This Mini Christmas Tree pattern is a beginner-friendly piece. It uses the most basic crochet stitches and is easy to work up.

Crochet stitches used in this project:

• chain stitch

The size of the tree depends on the yarn weight and the crochet hook size.

As a reference, using size 4 medium yarn (gauge info on the label: 5.5 MM/12 SC/15 R) with a 5 MM hook, the size of the tree is approximately 3.5” tall (including the wine cork) and 2.5” wide.
