This Mini Crochet Pot Cover is a fantastic easy crochet project to make use of your yarn scraps. Using less than 50m of cotton dk, these crochet pot covers use basic stitches for a swift and simple construction – if you know how to make a magic ring, and can half treble crochet, you’ll be hooking up mini crochet pots in no time at all.

The pattern produces a crochet cover which will cover a pot 8cm wide and 7cm tall. If you don’t have a pot to line your cover and give it more structure, you can still use these as pots for mini plants, you’ll just have to make sure you take the plants out when you water them as the cosy is not watertight.

I like to pair mine with an interior pot for housing my cacti and as storage for my knitting notions and crochet hooks.

SIZE:
The pattern produces a crochet cover which is designed to cover a small pot measuring approximately 3.25in (8cm) wide and 2.75in (7cm) tall.

YARN:
Each pot is crocheted holding 2 strands of Hoooked Recycled Cotton DK together using a 6mm hook.

You can, however, use any DK cotton yarn you have lying around in your yarn stash, but the samples in the photos are worked using Hoooked Recycled Cotton DK (1 50g ball = 85m (93yd)).

Approximate yardage: 42m (46yd)

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS:
6mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle to weave in the ends
