This is an easy, top-down mini dachshund sweater knitting pattern. This comfortable, seamless sweater is perfect for those cold winter mornings when its challenging for little dogs that are low to the ground to stay warm. Worked in stockinette stitch, this garment gives great coverage and a comfortable fit. I designed this dogie sweater in one of my all time favorite yarns: Melange. Melange is made from the softest alpaca, and no joke, every stitch you knit with it will bring a you joyful satisfaction.

This is a unisex sweater, that is a one size fits most mini doxies ranging from 8 to 13 pounds in weight. This sweater can be knitted slightly shorter for boy-doggies or a few inches longer for girl-doggies.

Please note: This is a dry weather doggie sweater, and it is not meant for rainstorms. Not only would such a garment, once soaked, fail to keep your dachshund warm, but knitted sweaters are also easily destroyed in wet, rainy weather. Even one episode of puddle hopping through muddy water can stretch out and ruin a knitted sweater. However, when used to warm up your dachshund on cold winter days indoors, as well as in reasonable weather outside, this garment will last for many years to come.
