It's cold today! I'd better chop some firewood.

Not an easy job to do, when the axe is bigger than you!

I'd better shut the door and light the fire, but where are my matches?

Walnut homes are very cozy! And this big log will keep the fire going all day.

Is there anything cuter than a gnome that can fit in a walnut? I don’t think so! This darling mini gnome is a VERY quick knit (8 sts in circumference)!
It is knit from the bottom to the top on double-pointed-needles. The nose is made with a bobble and the arms by picking up stitches and knitting i-cords. The gnome is stuffed with the ends as you go. It takes me about 20 minutes.
This mini gnome was cleverly designed by Wedina Schmidt, who adapted my Gnome Shearing Day pattern, so that she could have some cute, baby gnomes. When I saw how darling they were, I knew I had to write up the pattern and share it with everyone. Luckily Wedina agreed. Thank you so much Wedina!
