This mini graduation cap is the perfect thing to give to someone if they’ve just graduated. It’s about 6.5cm (2.5 inches) wide/long, so it’s very small.

This pattern can easily be modified to make any size you want, even a full sized graduation cap (there are instructions on how to make it different sizes).

It’s worked in 3 pieces, and then sewn together.

Yarn suggestion - use a school color!

To make the top stable, you do put in a piece of plastic/cardboard to ensure it doesn’t bend. Things that would work include cardboard from a cereal/tissue box, or a soft plastic.

I used about 30m acrylic yarn, but use whatever yarn you prefer.
