Mini Granny Shapes
This written crochet pattern (in US terms) provides instructions to make the following ten shapes: circle, oval, triangle, square, diamond, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, and semi-circle. Make the shapes any size, simply by increasing (or decreasing) the yarn weight and hook size. Use them as aids to teach shapes and colours, make two sets of shapes to play matching games, or use them as appliqués to sew onto cushion covers or blankets.
Although the instructions for each shape may seem to be tediously written (there is definitely a shorter way to write many of the rounds), every attempt was made to make them as easy-to-follow as possible. Tip: work with a pencil, crossing off from the pattern as you go, to limit the chance of missing any part of each shape.
Any yarn (with crochet hook to match yarn weight) can be used. Gauge is not important for this pattern.
The only additional material required is a darning needle, with which to weave in ends.
PLEASE NOTE: This crochet pattern only provides the instructions to crochet ten shapes (circle, oval, triangle, square, diamond, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, and semi-circle), which are my own crochet designs. It does not provide instructions to make an entire item using the shapes.
