This Mini Granny Bag is a clever project for anyone looking to use up some odd amounts thread or cotton. It’s crocheted using my Breakaway Crochet techniques, which means

no yarn tails
automatically join-as-you-go
solid seam between each square

Although size 10 crochet thread is specified, you can use any weight of yarn you want to (with the appropriate hook size) if you want to change the size of the bag. You will need thread for the main bag and a small amount of contrasting color thread for the heart.

It can be used in several ways such as a cute little gift bag to present a small gift to a loved one, or make a few for decorations (would be cute pegged onto string to make a garland!). They could also be incorporated into a Christmas advent calender (replace the heart with a bow).
