Mini Guinea Pig
----ABOUT THE PATTERN-----
This is a detailed pattern description of how to create a guinea pig like seen in the pictures. There are 22 step - by step photos that show you how to create a guinea pig of your own.
Skill level: Advanced Beginner
Size: 1.3 Inch (3.2 cm) long, 0.8 Inch (2 cm) tall. May vary depends on the type of yarn and hook you use, as well as how loose your stitches are.
Materials and tools:
- Crochet hook size 1.0 mm/steel and 1.5 mm/steel.
- White and orange size 1 cotton yarn (or in 2 different colors of your choice).
- 6 ply and 3 ply embroidery floss in white and orange (or in 2 different colors of your choice).
- Embroidery thread in black.
- Embroidery needle – size 10
- Black micro beads – 1.0 – 1.5 mm in diameter. If you can’t find eye beads this size, then you can make sew black little dots for the eyes.
- Scissors
- Stuffing
Stitches and abbreviations used in the pattern:
Ch = chain
St = stitch
Sc = single crochet
Inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
Dec = decrease (2 sc together)
Dc = double crochet
Sl st = Slip stitch
(…) repeat the instructions in the brackets the given number of times
… = total number of stitches.
