This pattern is especially designed for the 2000 Members Party in the Colourful CAL’s/KAL’s & Projects Group .

The egg is crocheted with leftover DK yarn. The chick Mini is made with Drops Garnstudio Fabel sockyarn. You will furthermore need two wiggly eyes, some acrylic paint for the eyes (optional) and a tiny piece of non fraying yellow fabric.
The egg can also be turned into a mouse for instance, or hold a small present.

The groups mascot Happy (a blue emu) has hatched an egg. Mini is one of the two chicks that hatched.
