This is a perfect crochet project for Valentine’s Day - a snuggly pair of cute mittens with heart motifs for the little ones.

This crochet pattern is based on my original adult sized Heart Love Mitten Pattern and this new version includes sizing for baby through to younger child sizes.

The pattern is very detailed with instructions and photos to help with colour work and with tips on how to get a more personalized fit by changing up yarn choice and hook sizes.

Baby Sized Mittens (3-9mo & 12-18mo) are thumbless and the Toddler (18-36mo) and Child (3-6yr old) Mittens are made with thumbs.

The hook you’ll require to make these mitts will depend on the size of mittens you’ll be making, but you’ll need to have on hand an F (3.75mm) Hook, a G Hook (4.00mm) and an H Hook (5.00mm). This pattern uses worsted weight yarn.

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginner crocheters who are comfortable with post stitches, working in the round and colour changes.
