Basic Informations

Size: 7 cm/ 3 inches tall when made with a 3.25mm hook. It will be slightly bigger if 3.5mm is used.

Level: Advanced Beginner. Need to be able to crochet in rounds, start a piece with a magic ring, make the stitches mentioned below, sew together the pieces of the amigurumi. Be comfortable with either embroidery OR felting for the veins details.

Stitches/US Terms:

• ch = chain

• sl st = slip stitch

• sc = single crochet

• inc = increase (2 single crochet in same stitch)

• dec = decrease ( single crochet the next 2 stitches together)

• the number in ( ) at the end of each round indicates the number of stitches in the round.

• Puff stitch : Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch and pull up a loop. Now you have 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over, insert hook into the same space and pull up another loop (5 loops) repeat two more times (for a total of 4 times) until you have 9 loops on your hook, yarn over then pull through all loops.

• Worsted Weight yarn in dark red, bright red, white and blue -3.25mm or 3.5mm hook

-Tapestry needle
