Mini Izzy Tunic
Make this simple tunic with cotton blend yarn to wear during warm weather, or with merino blend yarn to wear all year round.
I suggest Universal Yarn Bamboo Pop--the softest, most comfortable yarn to work with and wear! My little model could not stop touching her tunic and felt very comfortable in it.
The tunic is worked form the top down.
The top front and back pieces are worked separately until underarm; then, the front and the back are joined to knit in the round to 1 inch from the desired length. From this point, the front and the back are separated and worked on separately.
The stitches for sleeves are picked up from the underarm of the tunic along the top side of the front or back (it depends if it’s the left or right sleeve), over the shoulder, and back along the top side of the back or front to the underarm. Use DPNs or circular needles with longer cable (Magic loop method) to work sleeves in the round from the body of the tunic downward.
Last, two straps are made and sewn to the front and the back. The straps could be made shorter or longer. Please adjust to your liking.
