An adorable and versatile mini Moth Orchid (Phalaenopsis genus), delicate and compact - measuring at ~1”/2.5cm (if done with the recommended thread (size #40), and hook) - this blossom works magically as a hair clip, mini brooch or part of a decorative setting.

I recommend using 100% mercerized (for its wonderful color absorption and strength) cotton thread at size #40. This pattern has been tested with size #20 as well, and the orchid turned out beautiful (and larger :)).
