This little pine tree was designed to be added to a road mat blanket. Gauge is not important for this pattern.

Although I designed it using DK yarn, you could easily substitute any other weight of yarn and hook size to make it bigger or smaller.

The loops in the top part of the tree can be left intact or you can cut them to make them resemble pine needles.

The tree roots double as buttonholes which allow the pine tree to be removed from the blanket when it is folded up.
