Mini Pumpkin
This mini pumpkin is eventually going to part of a larger Halloween Garland, but it will work well as a decoration on it’s own - if you don’t want to hang it, you can knit a shorter stalk.
It’s knit on double-pointed needles in the round, with an i-cord stalk, and leaves that are knitted flat and either picked up from the stalk or sewn on afterwards. It takes up very little yarn, and could be a good project to use up any scraps of orange, brown and green yarn you have lying around. Gauge also isn’t that important for this project, so even though I’ve used DK, you can substitute the weight and needles for whatever you have lying around. Skills required:
casting on and joining in the round
knitting
purling
kfb
k2tog
i-cord
double centred decrease (sl1,k2tog,psso)
picking up stitches (for the leaves - optional)
Mini Pumpkin is available as a free download, although if you would like to make a donation, you can name your own price here. Any proceeds will be donated to support mental health charities.
