I made these for my fellow Freshmeat, and the Zebras who regularly attend practice with the Southern Delaware Rollergirls, for Christmas. Tiny little skates, with even tinier little toe stops, are knit in the round from the bottom up. Buttons for wheels, an i-cord toe stop and scraps of yarn for laces finish off these adorable ornaments. I made them into Christmas ornaments by tying a loop of yarn to the top of the heel, but you could use them to make pins or key chains.

Gauge is unimportant, but you do want to use needles a few sizes smaller than you normally would for the yarn you select. This will ensure a tight knit and stiff fabric so your skate will not be floppy. Using the Patons Grace I was able to make at least 4 skates out of each skein.
