Mini sunflower with stem
Hello Sunflower lovers!
Here I’ll show you how to crochet this miniature sunflower.
-
This file includes written pattern (in US terms), chart diagrams, instructions and step by step photo guides that will show you how to make it.
-
This is a quick to make sunflower and you’ll need just a small amount of thread for each sunflower. You can make just one sunflower and use it as dollhouse decor, attach it to a greeting card, a frame or even turn it into bookmark, brooch, earrings or necklace. You can also make as many as you’d like to create a sunflower bouquet.
MATERIALS NEEDED
-
Steel crochet hook 1.0 mm • US size 12
-
YARN/ THREAD
-
DMC Petra Crochet Cotton Size 8 (100g/875yds each ball) Color A: light brown - 2 yds; Color B: army green - 5 yds; Color C: sun yellow - 3.5 yds.
-
Any 4-ply acrylic yarn in dark brown: less than 1yd
-
Jewelry wire/ craft wire size 0.3mm (Gauge 28) or 0.4mm (Gauge 26)
-
Tacky glue
-
Fabric stiffener or matte acrylic finisher
-
Gauge isn’t really important for this project as long as you are consistent.
-
If you use the same materials listed in this pattern, your sunflower would be about 7 cm (2.8 inches) long and 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) diameter. You can also crochet with other thread/ yarn and a suitable hook to make a bigger or smaller item.
I hope you’ll enjoy this pattern and have a happy summer!
