APPROXIMATE SIZE OF THE FINISHED WHALE:
4.5” (10.75 cm) long, including the tail, and 2.5” (6.5 cm) tall when you use the recommended yarn and hook size.
YARN USED FOR THIS AMIGURUMI WHALE
Bulky (#5) Chenille Yarn, but feel free to use any yarn you like.
Amount of yarn needed:
The pictured sample used approximately 6 yards (5.5 m) of light-colored (or white) yarn and 31 yards (28 m) of blue yarn.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
3.5 mm (US E) crochet hook
Stuffing fiber, like Poly-Fil
One pair of 12 mm safety eyes with washers
Stitch marker
Scissors
Darning needle
Gauge:
Gauge is not important, but the details are in the pattern.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Easy. Please read the skills needed below.
You will need to know how to make Amigurumi using these skills: chain, single crochet in continuous rounds, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease (invisible decrease recommended), and fasten-off. Other stitches to know are the treble stitch and single crochet four together. You’ll also need to know how to read patterns in US terms. I DO NOT OFFER A VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR THIS PATTERN.
