I am feeling a bit bad about offering this as an individual pattern - since the only part crocheted is the egg shape of the body, and that can be found in other patterns of the same series.

But I am doing so anyway, because, for one thing, it is part of a series, of which there are more to come (hopefully each animal in it with its own special features - as this one has).
I think what makes this hedgehog a bit special is the assembly of body, quills and wooden beads for nose and legs.

This one does not necessarily have to be hung from a thread, it also sits quite happily on its own four feet.
