Miniature Homer

This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This is an original crochet pattern to make a miniature Homer. The finished size depends on the cotton thread and hook number you use. The one I made, with Finca cotton # 12 and hook size 1.0mm, turned out being just 31mm tall (1.22”).
The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi (work single crochet in a spiral, increase and decrease).
To make this miniature funny guy you will need:
- Cotton thread #12 (I used Finca brand);
- Hook: 1.0 mm (USA #10 - UK #4);
- I stitched the pupils with French Knots but if you prefer you can use 2 tiny black onyx round beads 1mm;
- Polyester fiberfill (for stuffing);
- Small tweezers or a tootpick (for stuffing);
- Dental floss (or upholstery thread) for jointing the arms (if you don’t want to joint the arms, instructions are given);
- Pliers to help pull the needle when jointing;
- Sewing needle;
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
