Miniature Punch Sock Monkey
This is an original crochet pattern to make a cute sock monkey with punch thread.
The sock monkey made with this pattern is small enough (50mm - 1.97”) to hide in your pocket and take it anywhere.
I will give you all the instructions step by step to joint the arms and legs to make it poseable (the head is made up with the body) but it’s nice also without the jointing.
The pattern is written in english (US terms).
The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi (work single crochet in a spiral, increase and decrease).
Pattern is available for instant download in Adobe PDF format.
You will need:
- Punch thread in Gray, White and a few strands of Red cotton;
- 1,8 mm amigurumi eyes (you can stitch them with French Knots or use 1mm black round beads);
- Sewing needle
- Hook: 1.5 mm (USA #7 - UK #2.5);
- Polyester fiberfill;
- Small tweezers or a tootpick for stuffing;
- Dental floss (or upholstery thread) for jointing the arms and the body parts;
- Pliers to help pull the needle when jointing;
This pattern is for non-commercial use only.
