Minky Bear is a cute little sitting bear. He’s about 7” tall (seated); has a chest measurement of 9” and his arms are about 3.5” long. Because he’s sitting down, when I designed this pattern, I kept making the body of the cardigan under the arms shorter. If you have a standing bear with the same chest and arm measurement, you’ll want to adjust the length of the body under the arms.

This pattern will work for other stuffed animals, too. A bunny would look super cute in a hand-knit sweater.

Experiment with yarns. You can use leftover stash yarn with fluff or double (or triple) sock/fingering yarns.

I had a collection of about 15 new Minky bears and knit sweaters for all of them to donate to our local hospital. It was fun to do using up small amounts of stash but I was sad to say goodbye to those little bears.
