The pattern is suitable for a girl or boy. This pattern is perfect for a beginner. Fun and easy to make. This blanket looks good on both sides. The fourth photo shows what the face looks like on the back side. You can choose to put the bow on both sides of the blanket if you like. I just chose to put it on one side.

Any brand of Worsted, Medium, or baby yarn would work for this blanket. Just make sure you use the same weight/brand of yarn for the entire blanket. The face and bows on the blanket are stitched onto the blanket so the face can be placed anywhere on the blanket you like.
