Minnie Mouse Hat
The romper my doll Luciana is wearing in these pictures was the inspiration for this little Minnie Mouse Hat. I chose the seed stitch because it gives the hat extra texture, plus it contributes to the stability overall.
I believe this pattern can be worked by a confident beginner knitter. If you can knit and purl, you can make this hat. Easy sewing skills are required as well.
The item(s) made with this pattern were meant to fit an 18-inch American Girl doll, as shown in the pictures. However, they will also fit similar dolls, such as Our Generation, My Life As, and others. I added a sizing chart to the pictures, to help you compare your dolls to the American Girl dolls.
It is recommended that you read entirely through the pattern before starting with it. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
For this pattern I used:
~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the color Black
~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the color Red
You can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.
~ Knitting needles size: US 8 - 5.00 mm
- I want to keep my patterns free for everyone to use, but in return I would like to ask you not to sell them or claim them as your own. You are free to sell the completed projects you make with my patterns, however.
Have fun, and happy knitting!
