Minsk is an oversize cardigan that you can definitely wear as a coat, you can even add some lining at your choice.

Any super chunky wool will do, but please make sure you check gauge (7 sts x 9 rows on stockinette on 15 mm needles). Also the garment will weight approximately 900 g, so please note that it will stretch when worn.

Wet block your sample when checking gauge.

Also the lovely heart pattern on the front will definitely stand out on a solid color.
