Mint Chocolate Stitch
One of my favorite treats is ice cream eaten straight from the pint. I know it’s a bit of a bad habit, but somehow it always tastes better that way.
The only problem is that my hands get cold. Enter this ice cream cozy. It’s bright and pretty, knits up in a trice, and keeps my hands from freezing while I enjoy my favorite treat. As an added bonus, it insulates the ice cream from the heat of my hands, so it stays solid longer.
This little pattern employs a touch of mosaic and a soupçon of stranded knitting, which makes it a great project for practicing those techniques if you’re new to either one.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Skills/Techniques: Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, slipped-stitch (mosaic) colorwork
