This easy to follow pattern (17 pages) is written for one size. But because it consists of several sections, you can stop after any of them to make your mandala smaller.

The pattern contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places.

Mint Coffee Mandala can be used in many ways. It can serve as a potholder and when not used in the kitchen it can be hanged on a wall. But it can also be a nice decoration for your old (or new) pillow cover; it can also serve as a decoration for a table – just a small trivet, or become a nice appliqué for your fabric bag. Though consisting only of one layer it is quite thick due to a huge amount of front post stitches.

Crochet level: Intermediate (front post stitches are used in this pattern).

The size of the finished mandala depends on the yarn and hook you use. Mine is approx. 63 cm (24.8 inches) large.

Materials:

** Yarn in four colors. I used yarn Scheepjes Chunky Monkey:

Yarn A: 1820 Mist x1 ball
Yarn B: 1064 Beige x2 balls
Yarn C: 1001 White x2 balls
Yarn D: 1054 Tawny x1 ball

** Crochet hook 5.5 mm (I) or the size that will give an acceptable gauge.

** Scissors and Tapestry needle to weave the ends.

There are two copies of the pattern offered to download: one is very detailed with many pictures, and the second copy is printer friendly (with written instructions only and no pictures).
