Mint Crystal
Part of “The Tea Time Collection” eBook
Imaginative Knits has ventured into crochet!
DESCRIPTION
My second doily pattern! :) I was left with a mostly full ball of pastel green Rico Essentials Crochet Thread when I thought back of a country I visited full of green fields. Mint Crystal was inspired by my time in Ireland this past summer. I remember walking into the stores in Dublin City Centre (especially Kilkenny on Dawson St.) and seeing the beautifully textured crystal pieces made throughout Ireland. I even brought home a handmade crystal piece of my own from Waterford. :)
Although the Mint Crystal I made is in green, this piece would look great in any light, solid crochet thread color.
NOTES
This pattern is available in American English and Russian crochet terminology.
The pattern consists of 21 rounds and 11 pages with picture tutorials for complex stitches used throughout the pattern. Mint Crystal is considered an advanced level pattern, with the use of front and back post stitches, chainless crochet stitches (CSDC), splits, clusters, popcorns, various types of picots, special decreases, and magic loop.
On my blog are some suggestions of tutorials for the harder stitches:
